BRUNSWICK — Maine Street restaurateurs Paul Hollingsworth and Aaron Park of Henry and Marty’s topped previous fundraising records, bringing in more than $7,000 for Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program during the fifth annual Dinner to Fight Hunger on March 19.

According to a press release, all proceeds from the dinner event, including the ticket cost, bar orders and tips, were donated to the Brunswick food pantry and soup kitchen.

During the five years Henry and Marty’s has hosted the benefit meal, Hollingsworth and Park have helped to raise more than $30,000 to support the agency.

“Paul, Aaron and their staff do more than host a dinner every year,” said Cindy Carney, executive director of MCHPP, in a press release. “Their generosity represents a unique spirit of giving and we are proud to be the recipient.”

MCHPP serves Brunswick, Topsham, Harpswell, Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Lisbon and Durham through programs providing food assistance, referrals and sustainable living education. Last year, the agency served more than 1,000 families in its food pantry and served 27,000 meals in the soup kitchen.
