WOOLWICH — The Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Department is investigating the theft of a pallet of shingles from a construction site along Route 1. Investigators believe the heist occurred Thursday night or Friday morning.
Chief Deputy Brett Strout said the shingles were taken from the site of what is to be a new Georgetown Pottery store, formerly the location of the Center of Native Arts.
The shingles belonged to the builders and are worth an estimated $300, according to Strout.
