Roger Walker, 46, of 101 Merrymeeting Road, remains in Cumberland County Jail today in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Brunswick police officers responded to the home just before 9:30 p.m. Monday after a witness reported that Walker had allegedly stabbed 43-year-old David Grant, also of 101 Merrymeeting Road, Deputy Chief Marc Hagan of the Brunswick Police Department said today.
Grant was taken by Brunswick rescue workers to Maine Medical Center, where he was listed in fair condition this morning.
Walker had left the building when police arrived, but Sgt. Paul Hansen located him nearby at the former Jordan Acres Elementary School building and arrested him without incident, Hagan said.
He is scheduled to appear in Cumberland County Superior Court on May 22.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
