BRUNSWICK — Brunswick Area Student Aid Fund will offer an presentation about the fund and how it can help local students 3 p.m. Dec. 10 at Thornton Oaks Retirement Community, 25 Thornton Way.
Known locally as BASAF, the fund has provided financial aid to thousands of local students since 1956.
High school graduates living in Brunswick, Topsham, Harpswell, Bowdoin and Bowdoinham are eligible for more than 40 awards, named for individuals and groups that have provided endowment funds and other support.
Discussion will include the backstories of some of these individuals, including Emery Booker, Marion McKenney, George Senter, Malcolm Clarke, Mario Tonon and “Pinky” Bouchard.
