Carole Linda DeVoll
BERWICK – Carole Linda DeVoll, who loved to be called “Mah” by her kids, departed her loving family on June 30, 2022 at the age of 85. Carole was born in Kittery on Jan. 30, 1937.
Carole was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Seth “David” DeVoll; her son, Chad D. DeVoll; and her brother, William “Bill” Chabot.
She is survived by her children that she and David raised with love and devotion in Berwick, Kip and Gina DeVoll of Lebanon, Tod and Paula DeVoll of Shapleigh, Sherry and Scott Sievers of Richland, Iowa, Carrie and Claudio Meza of Dallas City, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Aside from the children she doted on, Carole is survived by her sister, Dianne Brook (Chabot).
Carole retired from General Electric after which you may have seen her at the Berwick Town Hall tending to the voter booths during election season; Our Lady of Peace Church, Mayo’s Diner enjoying breakfast; Fogarty’s for her favorite bread pudding; and, in the early years, attending a variety of Noble School sporting events. She gave 100 percent to everything she did. Whether it be selling candy and raffle tickets to raise money for her children’s activities, cooking holiday dinners, baking food for boosters, or caring for her grandchildren.
She was blessed with dear friends whose dedication was always unwavering throughout her life, all the way to the end. Thank you, Ladies.
All of those who loved her dearly will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, grace, and undying love for them.
“We know that we can’t have you, but we’re happy knowing that the angels have finally got you back.” Goodbye to a wonderful woman, and beautiful mother. Mah, please say hello to Dad and Chad, they’ll be there waiting for you.”
A graveside service will be held on a date to be determined.
