The Key Bank at 135 Maine St. in Freeport was robbed Friday just before 3 p.m., according to a news release from the Freeport Police Department.

The suspect was described only as a black man armed with a handgun. No other description of the suspect was given and the police department release said no other information was available. It was not clear whether the man took any cash or how he escaped.
