Production Administrative Assistant

The Portland Press Herald is seeking an Administrative Assistant to help out in our busy Production department. The position will provide confidential support and assistance to the VP of Operations and other department managers.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Initiating the coordination of account copy flow from customer orders all the way through the production process
  • Assisting the Commercial Print Sales Manager with orders, pricing and customer relations.
  • Use of Bulk Mail Software to create daily runs and prepare mail lists for publications.
  • Assist in keeping track of inserts – verifying insertion dates and publication
  • Printing inserts and brochures
  • General administrative assistance to the department

Our Ideal Candidate is/has:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office – particularly Word and Excel
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a production/warehouse facility a plus
  • 2-4 years of administrative experience preferred
