    Service: Maine Medical Center Junior Volunteer - 10, 11, 12. Helped the Central Services Department by delivering supplies to various areas of the hospital and escorted patients and visitors in the Emergency Department as well as throughout the hospital. (150+ volunteer hours); Cumberland Soccer Club Labor Day Tournament - 9,10,11,12. Duties included snack shack sales, refereeing, organizing parking, and clean up during our town's annual youth soccer tournament; National Honor Society - 11, 12. Organized a Hunger Banquet to create awareness about different cultures' foods and to raise money for OXFAM. Also raised money for Breast Cancer Research; Diabetes Dash for Kids - 10, 11. Helped keep runners organized and ran next to a child who needed a little motivation to finish; Breaking Strides for Breast Cancer - 9, 10, 11, 12. Fundraising and awareness activities for breast cancer accomplished by walking three miles, in pink, around the City of Portland; Cumberland Soccer Club Assistant Coach - 12. Assistant coach for a U-14 girls' youth soccer team; Region 1 Soccer Tournament - 9. Volunteered 50+hours preparing soccer fields, nets, tents, concessions, banners and facilities for the arrival of the Region 1 Tournament. I delivered the referees to their fields and I also helped with recycling and clean up. The event hosts the State Champion Premier soccer teams from Maine to Virginia, who then go on to compete in the National Tournament.

    Work: Babysitting - 9,10,11,12; Standardized Patient at Maine Medical Center (a teaching Hospital)- 9,10. A standardized patient is a person in good physical and mental health who has been trained to mimic or portray the personality and behavior of an actual patient encountered in a normal medical clinic. This is done to help with the education of medical students in a clinical surrounding without putting an actual patient at risk; Soccer Referee - 9,10,11,12; Allstate Insurance Agency - 11. Clerical work provided for small insurance agency.

    Hanna Saunier Willwerth
    Future Plans: Hanna plans to take a gap year in between high school and university as a long term volunteer for Safe Passage in Guatemala and then plans to travel and climb in Patagonia, Chile. She has been accepted to the Honor's Program with merit scholarship at George Washington University's Elliott School of Foreign Service where she plans to study International Relations.
    Major High School Activities: International Baccalaureate Diploma candidate, Debate Club, World Affair's Council of Maine, Model UN, Safe Passage, Writing Club, Inkwell Editorial Staff, National Honor Society, German Club, photographer for Drama Club.
