Anthony M. Strada - Valedictorian - is the son of Kristine and Dominic Strada of South Berwick. Tony is the Vice President of the Piscataqua Chapter of the National Honor Society and a member of the Spanish National Honor Society. He served as Class President during his freshman and sophomore years and class representative his junior and senior years. Over the past four years, Tony has participated in Math Team, Student Government, Natural Helpers/Wellness Cabinet, and Blood Drive. He also tutored in math. He enjoyed his time on the basketball, baseball, and soccer teams and is thankful for the balance they brought to his school day. Tony attended the Presidential Youth Inaugural Conference and Dirigo Boys State. He was the recipient of the SMAA Citizenship Award, the Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award, the Princeton University Book Award, the Aimee Schramm Book Award, the Scholar Athlete Award, and departmental awards in English, Physics, Spanish, Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus. In his spare time, he has enjoyed working as a soccer referee and Camp Invention counselor. In the fall, Tony will attend Georgetown University to study biochemistry, as he hopes someday to become a doctor.


Ryan T. Fallon - Salutatorian - is the son of Debbie and Thomas Fallon of South Berwick. He is the President of the Piscataqua Chapter of the National Honor Society and is also a member of student government and the Spanish National Honor Society. Ryan has been a member of the varsity baseball team, the math team, and We the People State Championship Team that participated in the national finals in Washington, D.C. this past month. During his time at Marshwood, he has received the Aimee Schramm Book Award, the Phi Beta Kappa Award, and achievement awards in Spanish and World History. He attended the National Student Leadership Conference on Sports Management in New York City, and was also recently named a National Merit Finalist. Outside of school, Ryan enjoys spending time with his friends and playing baseball. He has spent many summer days helping the South Berwick – Rollinsford – Eliot Little League and works part time at Reebok in Kittery. In the fall, Ryan plans to attend Northeastern University with an undecided major.


Sophia M. White is the daughter of Anne Torres and Marshall White of South Berwick. She has participated in varsity soccer and softball. Sophie is the Treasurer of the National Honor Society, the Vice President of Interact, and a member of the We the People team and the math team. She received the Smith College Book Award, the Aimee Schramm Book Award, and department awards in French and Art while at Marshwood. Sophie was recognized as a member of the Southern Maine Athletic Association’s All-Academic Team. She works part time at Bob’s Clam Hut and is actively involved in the community. In her free time, Sophie enjoys playing indoor soccer, snowboarding, and reading. Sophie will be attending the University of New Hampshire in the fall with an undecided major.


Sarah Woodbury is the daughter of Susan and Thomas Woodbury of South Berwick. While attending Marshwood High School, Sarah was involved in National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society and various community service activities, such as volunteering as a group leader for the preschool ministry at her church for three years. Outside of school Sarah enjoys playing the piano and guitar, drawing, spending time with family and friends, going to concerts, and going to amusement parks. Sarah will be attending Gordon College in the fall with a possible major in kinesiology with a minor in psychology, hoping to become an occupational therapist in the future.


Katherine Kirwin is the daughter of Leslie and Terry Kirwin of Eliot. During her years at Marshwood, she was a member of student government, recycling club, math team and the tennis team. Besides being on high honors every quarter, Katherine was an officer of the National Honor Society and Vice President of the Spanish National Honor Society. She tutored in math and won the Pre-calculus Trig Star competition her junior year. Katherine also received the Clarkson University Award and was a National Merit Commended Student. Outside of school, she is an avid horseback rider and has volunteered her time for a therapeutic riding program. She was champion at the state of Maine’s Downeast Medal Finals in 2010 and represented the York Equestrian Team, of which she is captain, to an eighth place finish at the IEA National Finals in 2011. In the fall, Katherine will continue her education at Bates College.


Elijah Ober is the son of Elizabeth Turner and Stuart Ober of Eliot. At Marshwood High School he has participated in National Honor Society, soccer, track, We The People Team, and coordinated this year’s film festival. This summer he will be a nature-based learning instructor at the White Pines Program in York. He is attending Bowdoin College next fall, and has no other plans for the future.


Jillian Riendeau is the daughter of Terri and Dennis Riendeau of South Berwick. She played soccer and softball throughout all four years of high school. She was recognized as a member of the SMAA All Academic Team for soccer, and was selected as a captain for the softball team. She was also the recipient of the SMAA Citizenship Award, and the Willliams College Book Award. She was President of the Interact Club, Treasurer of the Class of 2011, Secretary of National Honor Society, and President of Spanish National Honor Society, as well as a member of the Wellness Cabinet, M.A.S.K., and the Marshwood Math Team. In April she traveled to Washington, D.C. to compete on We The People Team at the national finals. In addition, Jill has been dancing at Brixham Danceworks for the past fifteen years, taking classes in ballet and tap. This fall Jill will be attending Colby College in Waterville, Maine.


Savannah Bosse is the daughter of Marjorie and David Bosse of South Berwick. In her high school career, Savannah has participated in varsity softball, cross country, the district and high school musicals, a Fellowship of Christian Athletes group, and a small non-smoking group, M.A.S.K. She was also a member of the National Honor Society, Interact Club, and the Secretary of the Spanish National Honor Society. She attended night classes at Great Bay Community College in her junior year and is now a licensed nurse assistant. She enjoys knitting and making other crafts in her spare time, using proceeds to support her sponsor of a child from South America. She is an active youth member of the Eliot Baptist Church helping with VBS, missions, and babysitting services. In the fall she will be attending Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts, in the Honors program studying kinesiology.


Taylor S. Marks is the son of Melanie and Christopher Marks of Eliot. He was the top scorer for the Marshwood Math Team for three consecutive years, and was the captain of the team in his senior year. He has been selected to represent Maine on the Maine All Star Math A-Team in the American Regional Math League at Pennsylvania State University this summer. Taylor was actively involved in the Boy Scouts demonstrating community service and leadership and attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. In his free time, he enjoys movies, shopping, eating, and video games with his friends, or writing programs for the iPhone. He plans to attend Northeastern University to undertake a double major in Computer Engineering and Business Management.


Erika King is the daughter of Cris and Jason King of South Berwick. At Marshwood High School, she is a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society. She spends most of her time working and horseback riding at Lyman Hill Farm, leading her to major in therapeutic horseback riding when she attends the University of New Hampshire next year. Erika also enjoys making art and volunteering at the New Hampshire SPCA.
