    Adam Della-Piana, son of Kristie and Ben Della-Piana from Berwick, Maine, is the valedictorian of Noble High School’s class of 2013. Adam’s academic accomplishments have been impressive from start to finish, completing thirteen college or advanced placement courses in four years. As a student-athlete, Adam played on the varsity football team for the past three years, served as captain of the basketball team junior and senior years, and placed fourth at the state level in 2012 as a javelin thrower. Adam also completed his Eagle Scout last year as he juggled his academic and athletic schedules. Adam, a summa cum laude graduate and member of the National Honor Society, has received a full tuition scholarship to the University of Utah. Adam plans to serve a full-time two year mission in Sao Paulo, Brazil for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints immediately after graduation before he attends the University of Utah as a mechanical engineering major.

    James Rochefort, son of Marc and Stephanie Rochefort of Berwick, Maine is graduating summa cum laude as the class Salutatorian. He is a Silver Key recipient in the Scholastic Arts and Writing competition, and participated in the Maine Space Grant Consortium MERITS Internship his junior year. James attended the National Youth Leadership Training. He is a member of the National Honor Society and the math team, Noble’s track and field team, symphonic, jazz and pit band. James has earned his Eagle Scout badge. He plans to attend the University of New Hampshire (honors program) and major in engineering.

    Ranking third and a summa cum laude graduate, Alaina Shorey, is the daughter of Brian and Bambi Shorey of Lebanon, Maine. She is the recipient of a University of Maine at Farmington Presidential and Alumni Scholarship and the SMAA Citizenship Award. Alaina was a member of the Field Hockey All Academic Team and also attended the SMAA Leadership Summit. She was a member of the varsity field hockey team and the varsity lacrosse team, serving as captain her senior year. Alaina served as vice president of National Honor Society and was a student mentor. She competed in the We The People National Constitution Competition in 2012 in Washington D.C. Outside of Noble, Alaina participates in modern dance at Sole City Dance Company. She will be attending University of Farmington in the fall majoring in secondary education with a focus in social studies and mathematics.

    Deanna Rochefort, a summa cum laude graduate ranking fourth, is the daughter of Marc and Stephanie Rochefort of Berwick, Maine. Deanna is a recipient of the Girl Scout Gold Award. She received the Certificate of Outstanding Service Student Volunteer of the Year Award for completing 1,000 hours of community service along with Certificate of Outstanding Achievement, both from The American Legion Charles S. Hatch Post #79. She was a part of the District Honors Band at Noble and the Maine All State Band. Deanna was a member of the pit band at Noble and she ran the Musically Yours Program in North Berwick and Berwick. She was an active member of the girl scouts, completing a 10 day canoe trip into the Quetico, as well as a volunteer camp counselor for disabled girls in Missouri. Deanna was a member of Noble’s math team, symphonic and jazz bands, and the National Honor Society. She auditioned and was accepted into the Marine Corps Band.

    Drew Pomerleau, ranking fifth, is the son of Rick and Kristen Pomerleau of North Berwick. Drew is graduating summa cum laude. He was a member of cross country and the indoor and outdoor track teams throughout high school. Drew also served on the Noble High School Leadership Team and he was student council treasurer. He will attend Northeastern University in the fall and will study abroad in Dublin, Ireland as a freshman. Drew plans to major in business administration.

    Ranking sixth, Ruby Ye, daughter of Song Ye and Ann Lin of North Berwick, Maine is graduating summa cum laude. Ruby is a United States Presidential Scholars Award Candidate, a Questbridge Scholar, an AP Scholar and a House I six time honored student of the month. She was a member of Noble’s math team, National Honor Society, vice- president of the UKNIGHT club, a student tour guide and a House I Mentor. Ruby plans to attend Wellesley College next fall as a biochemistry major and she is the recipient of a $50,000 grant

    Nikita Naumowicz, ranking seventh, is the daughter of Steven Naumowicz and Mary Largess of North Berwick, Maine. Nikita is graduating summa cum laude. She is an AP Scholar and is the recipient of the WCSH Teens Who Care Award and Scholarship as well as a UNE Presidential Scholarship. She was a member of the National Honor Society, YAADA, varsity field hockey – captain, varsity lacrosse, indoor track, art and theatre excel, and regional fine arts. Nikita plans to attend University of New England to study medical biology for a future career in dentistry.

    Ross Conroy, a summa cum laude graduate, is the son of Andrew and Janet Conroy of Berwick. Ross, the eighth ranked student, received the highest statewide unit score in the We the People Constitution Competition. Ross earned his Eagle Scout with three palm awards. He was a member of the National Honor Society, the Noble High School band, and the Noble soccer team. He participated in 4-H throughout high school. Ross will be attending the University of New Hampshire Honors College and plans to major in political science. He is a Presidential Merit Scholarship recipient at UNH.

    Ranking ninth, David Thibault, son of David and Donna Thibault of Berwick, Maine is graduating summa cum laude. He was a member of the varsity football team and served as captain for both the indoor and outdoor track teams. David was a mentor for the House III mentoring program and was a member of the National Honor Society. He also participated in the We the People National Constitution Competition in Washington D.C. David plans to attend the University of New Hampshire next fall as a mechanical engineering major and is the recipient of a Dean’s Scholarship.

    Cody Duckworth, ranking tenth and a magna cum laude graduate, is the son of Mark and Carol Duckworth of North Berwick, Maine. Cody is the recipient of a Presidential Scholarship from the University of New England. He was a member of the National Honor Society, the House II mentoring program, and Brass Knobs 4-H Working Steer. Cody was the Top Teamster at the Big E and a House II three time honored student of the month. Cody will be attending University of New England in the fall with plans to study medical biology/pre-medicine.
