This photograph, dated 1936, was taken outside of Prime Tanning. In the front row furthest to the left is Babe Plante. The man with his thumbs in his arms pits (second to last in the top row) is Lenard Kaplan. Lenard was the son of Morris Kaplan who founded the company in 1914.

Oxen carrying firewood pause in front of A. H.Winn wholesale confectioners, which was one of the many businesses that were run out of the Brackett House. The Brackett house, once located in Sullivan Street where town hall is now located, was demolished in 1938 to accommodate the building of the new town hall.
