    The Red Sox invited Bill Buckner to throw out the first pitch in 2008 after Boston won its second World Series title in three seasons. Buckner drew loud cheers as he walked from the Green Monster in left field to the mound, and made his ceremonial toss to former teammate Dwight Evans.
