Nursings students at Calais Regional Hospital are part of a satellite nursing school program through Northern Maine Community College. Calais Regional Hospital worked for two years to get the program started on its campus. The hospital hopes some of the students, many of whom are locals, will continue on to become nurses at the hospital to alleviate some of the recruiting and turnover issues.
