Halee Phelps of Westbrook was a surprise winner in the Class A girls’ race, edging Marshwood’s Maddy Doyle by two seconds while posting the day’s best time.
Katherine Leggat-Barr of Greely heads for the finish line to win the Class B girls’ race Saturday at the cross country state championships in Belfast. Greely also won the team title, joining Scarborough (Class A) and Orono (Class C) as girls’ state champions.
