Michael Gallant, 21, of Biddeford, a nursery/greenhouse worker at Moody's Nursery and Garden Center in Saco, plants thyme seedlings in the greenhouse. "It's a lot of hard work, working in the greenhouse in the summer where it can reach over 100 (degrees), and there's lots of heavy lifting," Gallant said.
Gallant sets thyme in individual containers for customers to purchase.
Gallant began working at the nursery four years ago when he was a student in high school. He's now a full-time employee.
Parsley and thyme at Moody's Nursery and Garden Center in Saco are ready to be purchased and transplanted to customers' gardens.
