The best of the six Brady-Belichick Super Bowls. Months after the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, the Patriots were in New Orleans to take on the St. Louis Rams, a team that earned its nickname as the Greatest Show on Turf. But Tom Brady showed what the next decade and a half would bring, and Adam Vinatieri hit a 48-yard winning field goal. Plus the city, the food, the music. Simply the best.
The catches. Those two catches. Both by the New York Giants, both depriving the Patriots of victories. Still, Indianapolis was a great place to visit in 2012, and the overall experience couldn't be damaged by Mario Manningham's reception.
Nine years later, there's still the how-did-he-catch-it factor, David Tyree holding a pass pressed against his helmet with Rodney Harrison draped all over him. Goodbye perfect season, but Phoenix in 2008 was still memorable.
Down by 10 points and facing a Seattle defense known as the Legion of Boom? No problem for Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and a rookie named Malcolm Butler in 2015.
Adam Vinatieri – that man again – broke Carolina hearts with a 41-yard field goal in the final seconds for a 32-29 victory in 2004. A nice ending made up for three dull quarters.
Jacksonville really wasn't ready to be a Super Bowl host in 2005, but Deion Branch was ready to play. He was the MVP in the 24-21 victory against the Eagles.
