Pride Portland! and Maine TransNet held a picnic at Fort Allen Park in Portland Monday.
"For many of us, clubs have always been a safe haven where we can go to hug, dance and kiss," Gia Drew of EqualityMaine told the crowd. "But the news ... out of Orlando felt ... like someone broke into our house and killed members of our family."
