For the second straight season, Greely High got to celebrate a baseball state title. The Rangers scored six runs in the second inning Saturday on their way to a 10-0 victory over Camden Hills to win their fourth Class B state title in nine years.
Greely’s Chaz Reade leans into the crowd to make catch a foul ball. Reade also contributed with his bat, hitting a double in the second inning as the Rangers scored six times to take a 6-0 lead.
Ryan Twitchell escaped a jam in the second inning and was perfect for the next three innings. He finished with a no-hitter, striking out three in five innings as the Rangers won in a game shortened by the 10-run rule.
