Why are you running?
I’m running to bring practical, community-focused leadership to Augusta. As a small business owner, I understand the challenges both families and employers face. I want to reduce costs, improve access to essential services and ensure the government works responsibly for the people of District 85.
Top three priorities
Lowering the cost of living by addressing housing shortages; improving access to affordable healthcare by attracting more providers and supporting working families by strengthening childcare options and supporting small businesses that sustain our local economy.
If you could change one thing about how Augusta functions, what would it be and why?
I would improve transparency and accountability in spending. Too often, decisions are made without clear outcomes or measurable results. By focusing on responsible budgeting, reducing waste and prioritizing essential services, we can rebuild trust and ensure taxpayer dollars are used effectively.
What is the biggest challenge facing Maine? The biggest opportunity?
Maine’s biggest challenge is affordability: housing, healthcare and everyday costs. Our biggest opportunity is growth through smart policy: expanding housing, supporting small businesses and attracting workforce talent to strengthen our economy.
As one of several dozen legislators in your chamber, how would you make a measurable difference for your constituents?
I will work collaboratively to find practical solutions, advocate for my district and stay accessible to constituents. By focusing on results, whether improving local services, reducing barriers for businesses or supporting families, I will ensure the voices of District 85, Standish and Steep Falls, are heard and represented effectively.
