Maine’s next governor will earn an annual salary of $125,000 and serve a four-year term. The position is open since Gov. Janet Mills is termed out.
We did not include independent candidates for governor in this guide because they will not appear on the ballot June 9. The deadline for independent candidates to qualify for the November ballot is June 1.
