Senate District 3 covers the Somerset County communities of Canaan, Detroit, Madison, Norridgewock, Palmyra, Pittsfield and Skowhegan; the Kennebec County communities of Benton, Clinton and Unity Township; and the Penobscot County communities of Dixmont, Etna, Newport, Plymouth and Stetson. State senators are paid $45,000 over their two-year terms.
