1) To support responsible planning and finances that are transparent for the people of Skowhegan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) To promote open communication through meaningful conversations as well as to use my experience as a small business owner to bring balance and perspective to the town\u2019s leadership. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3) To help recruit a town manager and other staff that are committed to professionalism, transparency, and community collaboration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Why are you running?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m running for Skowhegan\u2019s Select Board because I care about our community\u2019s future. I am deeply committed to fostering a prosperous, respectful, and vibrant Skowhegan by supporting local growth, encouraging civic engagement and helping build a strong, inclusive community that current residents are proud of and future generations will be proud to call home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

What is the biggest challenge facing your community? The biggest opportunity?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

There are many challenges facing our community, but a key issue to me is the lack of trust in local government. I will serve honestly and clearly, prioritizing transparency and education. On the opportunity side, I believe increased community involvement can boost pride and unity. Diversifying our ideas, staff, volunteers and contributors will be crucial in shaping a vibrant, inclusive future for our town, ensuring it thrives for generations to come.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

If you could change one thing about how your community functions, what would it be and why?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

Skowhegan can enhance communication with residents and stakeholders by fostering transparency and open dialogue. I would like to improve community input by investigating how community members can better communicate with their government. I envision a two-way approach with the idea that we can improve critical thinking around solutions to the issues our residents face. I am committed to strengthening engagement to support a more connected and responsive municipal government.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Do you support more development in your community? Why or why not?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

Yes. Skowhegan is home to many talented entrepreneurs and organizations dedicated to providing quality housing, jobs, and opportunities. The town should serve as a resource, actively supporting and encouraging responsible development. Existing efforts show residents, businesses and developers are reinvesting in Skowhegan\u2019s future, taking chances and betting on us.
