Ran for the North Yarmouth Budget Committee and was appointed in 2019 for a 2-year term.
Top three priorities
My main priorities are fiscal responsibility to the taxpayers of Cumberland, efficient use of our tax dollars and efficient planning for the future of the town.
Why are you running?
I believe I have the knowledge, experience and insight to be a useful member of the Cumberland Town Council.
What is the biggest challenge facing your community? The biggest opportunity?
The biggest challenge facing Cumberland is regulating growth as it pertains to our taxes. We need to take care of older citizens and young families as to not tax them out of their homes.
If you could change one thing about how your community functions, what would it be and why?
If I could change one thing about the function of the town, it would be to have a stronger say in the school system and their ever-increasing costs.
Do you support more development in your community? Why or why not?
I support more housing, but it should be incremental with the costs of running our school system. I am for bringing more businesses to town to aid our ever-increasing taxes without bringing more consensus to the school system.
