Top three priorities
My top priorities are maintaining a balanced and responsible town budget, supporting essential services like public works and public safety, and ensuring transparency in local government. I also aim to strengthen collaboration between the town and school system while protecting taxpayers. Thoughtful planning and community input will guide decisions that impact Monmouth’s future growth and sustainability.
Why are you running?
I am running to give back to the community that has shaped my life. With deep roots in Monmouth, I understand the importance of thoughtful decision-making and fiscal responsibility. I want to ensure our town remains a great place to live while addressing challenges with practical, community-focused solutions. My goal is to represent residents with integrity, transparency, and a commitment to long-term success.
What is the biggest challenge facing your community? The biggest opportunity?
One of the biggest challenges facing our town is balancing rising costs, especially with a large portion of taxes going toward education, while still maintaining essential municipal services. However, this also presents an opportunity to think creatively about budgeting, partnerships and long-term planning. By working collaboratively and engaging residents, we can find solutions that strengthen our town while maintaining financial stability.
If you could change one thing about how your community functions, what would it be and why?
I would improve communication and transparency between town leadership and residents. Clear, consistent communication builds trust and encourages community involvement. When residents understand how decisions are made and where funds are allocated, they are more engaged and supportive. Strengthening this connection will lead to better decision-making and a stronger, more unified community.
Do you support more development in your community? Why or why not?
I support thoughtful and balanced development that aligns with the character and needs of our community. Growth can bring economic opportunity and housing options, but it must be carefully planned to avoid overburdening infrastructure and services. By prioritizing smart development and community input, we can encourage progress while preserving what makes our town unique.
