Top three priorities
Keeping steady growth and taxes at a reasonable rate so current and future residents can receive great services at a fair rate. Maintaining public safety. Supporting parks and recreation.
Why are you running?
The town is busy with many different projects, and I would like to see them through. I love this town and its people, and the community as a whole means very much to me and my family.
What is the biggest challenge facing your community? The biggest opportunity?
Finding a happy medium to make sure we grow, but at a rate that doesn’t cost townspeople their homes.
If you could change one thing about how your community functions, what would it be and why?
Our town charter has many concerning issues, and one of them is that our town clerk is elected. We have been blessed with our current town clerk for many years, but upon his retirement, we feel having that position be appointed would give us a better opportunity to hire the best candidate.
Do you support more development in your community? Why or why not?
Yes, as long as growth is managed, all town ordinances are followed, and residents’ voices are heard and taken into account. I think growth on all aspects, whether that’s business or residential, would be beneficial to the town.
