With the failure of Lewiston schools’ $130 million proposed 2027 budget, the school committee considered is proposing further reductions including the elimination of several more positions. The new proposed budget is $128 million, a 9% increase over current spending. The next budget referendum will be held June 9, when primary elections will also be held.
