The 23-member Maine School Administrative District 54 School Board makes policies and develops the budget for the district and has representatives from each of its six towns (Skowhegan, Norridgewock, Canaan, Cornville, Mercer and Smithfield).

Skowhegan has 11 members on the board. This June, there are five people running for four of those seats, all with three-year terms.
