Michele Trine

SACO – Michele Trine, the beloved only daughter of the late Mildred and Louis Trine, died on May 26, 2026, following a brief illness.

Born on Aug. 25, 1948, in Annapolis, Md., and like her parents, she was raised in Andover, where she lived until moving to Southern Maine with her mother following the death of her father. Michele was very proud of her father’s military service, and kept his medals as a remembrance.

Following the death of her mother in 2005, Michele became associated with Creative Works support services until 2022 when she moved into long term care at St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation and Residence now-Fallbrook Commons in Portland, and earlier this spring moved into Treat Falls House in Orono. She remained in touch with her longtime Creative Works friends, and looked forward to their visits. Until its closure in 2015, she worked at Pine Tree Business Solutions in Saco. Michele also volunteered with local organizations such as Meals on Wheels, local food pantries, and she especially enjoyed working with horses through the Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals in Windham.

She enjoyed “going places” to travel, and was quite taken with those tall buildings in Boston. She also enjoyed making the occasional Saturday morning pancakes for her friends. Michele often talked about her beloved dogs Candy, Hobo and others, and her bird Lucky.

Having been predeceased by both parents, Michele was her family’s sole survivor. She leaves a legacy of grit and grace with those who knew and cared for her, her memory ever a blessing.

Friends and family are invited to share memories of Michele at: http://www.meaderandson.com. A graveside service will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Andover on Tuesday, June 30, at 1 p.m.
