Birthday

Sarah Howard, daughter of Diane and Allan Howard, Falmouth Road, celebrated her 17th birthday on Aug. 7. There was a party for her Aug. 6. Family and friends attending were: sister, Angela and brother-in-law Bill Doiron, Cathy and Terry Monrone, Jamie and Maureen Varney, A.J., Brianna Carver and oher friends.

State Show

Alan O’Brien recently attended the State Show Qualification for qualifying to show at Eastern States. He’ll be able to choose between two different cattle. Alan is a member of the State Dairy Judging Team for 4-H. He is the only member from Southern Maine.

Party

Paul and Betty Estes recently entertained Will and Gracie Dove at their cottage on Barker Pond. Their daughter Joanne Weatherby and her husband, Lew also joined them. They were celebrating the Dove’s anniversary.

Supper

There will be a spaghetti supper Aug. 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cornerstone Church on Cottage Road. This will be a benefit for David and Dawn Bailey who lost their home in a fire recently. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. You may purchase tickets at Corsetti’s, Thayer’s, the Lakes Region Suburban Weekly and the Windham Independent. There will also be a silent auction.

Birthday

Norman Forbes, of Ward Road, celebrated his birthday Aug. 12. There was a get-together at the lake with his family.

Thank You

Barbara Muir would like to thank all the people who donated pet food to the Windham Food Pantry on Saurday, Aug. 19. As always the Kennel Shop was a great help and the food is greatly appreciated by the folks who are served by the Food Pantry. She said there is always a need and by stepping up and helping, you are doing a great service. Thank You.
