SACO — Wendy A. Boudreau, 59, of Saco, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015 in Saco.

She was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada on July 4, 1956, a daughter of Elizabeth (Blackmore) Pond.

At the age of 5, Wendy moved to the United States with her mother and sister to live with her aunt and uncle, Molly and Lawrence Emery. She attended local schools and graduated from Thornton Academy, Class of 1974, where she met her husband, Jeffrey Boudreau. On Jan. 31, 1975, she married Jeff, her high school sweetheart.

Early in her career, Wendy was a nurse’s aide for Notre Dame Hospital in Biddeford, where her compassion and love for helping others was exhibited daily.

In the early 1980s, with a young and still growing family, Wendy left Notre Dame to focus her love on raising the family and enjoyed being a homemaker. At this time she also began work as the office manager for the family business, Jeff Boudreau General Contractor. When the children were older, she maintained her position with the family business and began work at the Thornton Academy Alumni Office, where she worked for many years.

Wendy had a big heart; she was a selfless, kind, caring, compassionate woman, full of life, and always willing to help where she could. Her life centered around her husband, children and grandchildren and she would have done anything for them. At the center of her large family, Wendy was the glue that held everything together.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking and the daily crossword puzzle; she prided herself on being able to complete the daily New York Times crossword puzzle in ink with no mistakes. Christmas was her favorite time of year – opening her house to family and friends and bringing the magic of Christmas to life for the children and grandchildren filled her with joy. Most of all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and the precious time they spent together as a family at camp in Naples.

She is preceded in death by: her mother, Elizabeth; and uncle, Larry.

She is survived by: her aunt, Mo; her husband of 40 years, Jeffrey Boudreau; her children, Jennifer Boudreau and her partner Kristen Auger, Jason Boudreau and his wife Megan (Fecteau) Boudreau, Jessica Boudreau, and Julie (Boudreau) Cyr and her husband Nik Cyr; and grandchildren, Paige, Jaigan, Lily, Kayley, Hunter, Jack, Tyler, Sophia and Emery. She is also survived by one sister, Patricia (Pond) Parisien and her husband Mark Parisien; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 4-7 p.m., Monday, Aug. 24 at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Thornton Academy Garland Auditorium, 438 Main St., Saco. A reception will also be held at Thornton Academy directly following the services.
