BIDDEFORD — Jeannette Green, 92, a red-headed firecracker, passed away May 30, 2014 in Biddeford.
She was born on July 4, 1921 in Biddeford, to Carl and Mollie Remar.
Jeannette worked as a salesperson in clothing stores and a bridal shop.
She loved to play cards and travel. Her passion was Scrabble, and she was unbeatable up to the end.
She was a lifetime member of Hadassah and was a member of Etz Chaim Synagogue in Biddeford.
She is survived by: her two sons, Saul and Larry; a granddaughter, Anne; and a great-grandson, Gavin.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 3 at 11 a.m. at the Levey Chapel, 471 Deering Ave., Portland, and interment to follow at Temple Beth El Memorial Park. Arrangements by the Jewish Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland, 449 Stroudwater, Westbrook, ME 04092.
