Biddeford Tigers

Coach: Mike Fecteau (2nd year)

Last year’s record: 7-9 (lost to Massabesic in the playoffs)

Key returners: Brook Davis, Katie Stewart, Lexi Matteau, Chantel Perreault, Taylor Wildes, Olivia Whittaker, Harmonie Coolbroth

Key losses: Alex Chase, Aibhlin O’Connor, Amber Magnant

Coach’s outlook: We’ll be led by four-year starter and All-Star catcher Brook Davis. With only two seniors, the key will be how quick the younger players and new positional players adapt to varsity softball and it will determine the success of our season.

Kennebunk Rams

Coach: Kortney Nedeau (4th year)

Last year’s record: 12-9 

Key newcomers: Olivia Durham

Key returners: Britney Gregoire, Lindsey Gregoire, Emily Hogue, Lydia Howarth, Sydney Waitt, Christine Jarowicz, Zoe Hagen, Kylie Defeo, Sam Henry)

Key losses: Allie Gregoire

Coach’s outlook: Returning all but one starter, bats are fire and defense is versatile and tight. We have speed, agility, and open minds in our younger players and experience, leadership and a vision in our veterans. I think we should compete well in Class A if we can keep our heads on straight and take each game one at a time as it comes. We have a lot of talent and if we can keep ourselves in good places mentally, things should go well for us across the board

Massabesic Mustangs

Coach: Kevin Tutt (4th year)

Last years record: 11-5 (Lost to TA in the quarterfinals)

Key newcomers: Lauren Kiss

Key returners: Cayleigh Morris, Grace Tutt, Lacey Bean, Julia Gregoire

Key losses: Kyra Cartwright, Sarah Howe, Olivia Ducharme

Coach’s outlook: Consistency and defense will be key. Looking for senior leadership with offensive contributions from the underclassmen. Tough to try to fill holes of last year’s graduating seniors from game changers to leaders, and perfect role players. Depth will be key, many players are able to fill voids in many positions 

Noble Knights

Coach: Rick Melanson (25th year)

Last year’s record: 12-6 (Lost to Windham in the quarterfinals)

Key newcomers: Emily Sanfacon, Libby Papciak, Tori Exel

Key returners: Raegan Kelly, Mackenzie Aleva, Jordan Boucher, Kelsey Lessard, Lauren Sanger, Sammie Morrill, Abbie Sprague, Kassidy Lessard, Morgan Dorr, Molly Griffin, Abby Lewis

Key losses: Marisa Cipolla

Coach’s outlook: With eight returning starters the outlook is very positive. The girls all know how tough our league is. They know we need to continue working hard to improve to be a top-4 team, make the playoffs and go deeper into the playoffs. From there, anything can happen.

Old Orchard Beach Seagulls

Coach: Jason Webber (1st year)

Last year’s record: 3-13

Key newcomers: Emily Greenlee, Paige Leclerc

Key returners: Morgan Howlett-Brown, Zoe Young 

Key losses: Eryica Leclerc, Tiffany Post 

Coach’s outlook: We look to be competitive and to play hard. We will strive to make the playoffs, led by our seniors. A step toward creating a tradition here in OOB. 

Sanford Spartans

Coach: Mike Bailey (5th year)

Last year’s record: 2-14

Key newcomers: Grace Curley

Key returners: Marli Wilson, Molly Boissonneault, Kaitlyn Farmer 

Key losses: Abby Blouin

Coach’s outlook: Our goal is to improve on last season and make the playoffs. The key piece for us is to have our younger players continue to develop and improve under the leadership of the older girls.

Thornton Academy Golden Trojans

Coach: John Provost (10th year)

Last year’s record: 14-4

Key newcomers: Madison Vachon

Key returners: Louissa Colucci, Kaitlin Verreault, Olivia Howe

Key losses: Kaya O’Connor

Coach’s outlook: Ability to score runs and play solid defense should push us deep into playoffs.

Wells Warriors

Coach: Kevin Fox (19th year)

Last year’s record: 17-2 

Key newcomers: Abby Hanson, Sophia Zurlo, Kenzie Foss, Emma Cousins, Kim Yurga, Savannah Grover

Key returners: Sam Bogue, Olivia Clay, Olivia Dure, Anya Chase, Karissa Kenyon

Key losses: Sara Ring, Casi Haye, Hannah Moody, Ally O’Brien, Liz Gilpatric

Coach’s outlook: We return a strong core of starters but also lost four starting seniors. Our goal is work hard to replace those losses and be competitive enough to make the postseason.
