From the Journal Tribune: “Months after the tragedy that followed in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the need to give to those who suffered loss is still on the minds of many teachers here in Maine. Friday morning, during homeroom, students at Wells Junior High School packed up backpacks, not for themselves, but for students in New Orleans who still don’t have access to the same resources.”

The vehicle was parked near the town barn on Milliken Street earlier this week when it was struck by a taxi, owned by Bill’s Taxi of East Grand Avenue and operated by Devereux Barnes, 20, of 90 East Grand Ave.”
