BANGOR (AP) — A Maine man has been sentenced to more than seven years in prison for playing a role in the robbery of an Augusta pharmacy.
Lance Szady of Windsor was sentenced Monday to seven years and three months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. The 27-year-old had pleaded guilty to helping Dominic Pomerleau rob the Rite Aid pharmacy in Augusta last September.
Police say Szady planned the robbery with Pomerleau, drove him to the pharmacy and waited while he stole three bottles of oxycodone.
The Kennebec Journal reports that Szady has already served a sentence in state prison for robbing an Augusta pharmacy in 2010 and stealing from storage units.
