Samson’s 58.85 in the 100 back was good for seventh, while Cost swam a 1:02.13 in the same event. Samson took 15th in the 50 breaststroke (31.25, team record held previously by Chris Card), and his time of 24.65 in the 50 free was good for 20th. Lindsley swam a 26.11 in the 50 free.

Cost swam a best time in the 200 back (2:18.39), and Hess turned in a 2:47.45 in the 200 breaststroke.

“I am so amazed with the results of this meet,” said head coach Jay Morissette. “Maine is the only state in the U.S. that does not have a 50-meter swimming pool, so our experience is very limited. But, one wouldn’t know it the way we swam.”
