PGA PROFESSIONAL KEVIN JOSEPH and the Mere Creek Golf Club in Brunswick is hosting another year of its junior golf camp. On Tuesday, several kids participated in various exercises to help improve their skills on the golf course. The camp has been offered for more than 25 years, with another mini camp being offered between Aug. 11-13 at a cost of $150. Picture in the top right are Trey Saucier, Reilly Williams, Elsa Reynolds, Hailie Lord and Abbey Sharp (front), and Hunter Lord, Caleb Wilson, camp instructor Joseph, Daniel Edgerton and Eola Saucier. With the camp’s main goal surrounding the idea of devloping skills at a young age, campers learned proper techniques for putting, chipping and driving. In the remaining three photos starting from left to right, Williams finishes his follow through after driving a ball down the range; Reynolds practices her chip shot; and Henry Fall (left), who assists Joseph in the camp and was once a member of the camp, helps Hailie Lord with her putting as her brother Hunter works on the same in the background. Any young golfers interested in the upcoming mini camp, or for other programs such as junior clinics that take place on Tuesdays and Fridays between 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., can contact the Mere Creek Golf Club at 721-9995.
