TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat High School jayvee girls basketball team lost to Edward Little 36-32 and defeated Oxford Hills 32-29 in recent action.
In the EL game, the Eddies led 8-6, 15-13 and 25-21 and the quarter breaks, and were paced by Karli Stubbs with 14 points.
Mt. Ararat’s Kristen Pierce had 13 points and Sara Lamb eight.
At the line, Mt. Ararat was two of 10 and EL 14 of 27.
Against Oxford Hills, the Eagles trailed 7-4 and 15-14 after the first two breaks, but jumped into a 24-21 thirdquarter advantage.
Allison Melcher scored nine points and Erin Tome eight.
The Eagles were two of six from the line and Oxford Hills five of 13.
MA is now 8-5 and visits Erskine Academy on Friday.
