MARS HILL (BDN) — A Mars Hill man had to be subdued with a Taser after allegedly refusing to submit to a search and tussling with an Aroostook County Sheriff ’s deputy on Sunday evening.

Aaron Jones, 37, was arrested and charged with violation of conditions of release, refusing to submit to arrest and assault.

At about 5 p.m. Sunday, Sheriff Sgt. Matt Cummings was at 21 Silver Street in Mars Hill to arrest a woman on an outstanding warrant, Aroostook County Sheriff Darrell Crandall said Monday.

The woman, whose name is not being released, was not at the home, but Cummings allegedly found Jones at the residence.

Crandall said Cummings attempted to search Jones at the residence after observing the man “acting strange.”
