RICHMOND — Dale Plumber’s Winter Baseball Academy is scheduled to get under way in Topsham on Jan. 13 and run through March 17.
The Academy, for players ages 8 to high school seniors, will be under the direction of Plummer, a former Boston Red Sox and New York Mets pitcher, now the Colby College coach.
“We realize it is a goal of many players in Maine to continue playing in college,” said Plummer. “If this is your goal, our program is a must.”
The program, which will involve instruction, repetitions and drills to improve individual performance levels, will be held on 10 Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and the cost is $300.
For more information, email Plummer at [email protected] or call 737-3460.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
