BATH — The Searching Science series at Patten Free Library continues on Wednesday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room, with a presentation for adults. Postdoctoral researcher LeAnn Pritchard Whitney from Bigelow Laboratory of Ocean Sciences will talk about phytoplankton — the microscopic photosynthetic plants of the ocean — and more specifically, about how these seemingly simple organisms use complex strategies to live in a constantly changing marine environment. She will bring a few microscopes and phytoplankton samples for participants to look at.
