What’s in a Year? A Lot

As we change the calendar to the new year, it seems appropriate to urge everyone to start calling the year in a manner consistent with our history. For the past sixteen years, many refer to each year beginning with Two Thousand. To this day many of you called this year Two Thousand Sixteen. Think back, did we call 1999 One Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety Nine? Of course not. We called it Nineteen Ninety Nine. Then whey are we insisting on using Two Thousand to begin the years in this century? Make it a New Year’s Resolution. Twenty Seventeen is upon us so lets get together and start the year out right.
