SOUTH PARIS

Sebastian Scherry’s second-half goal ignited a four-goal rally as the Mt. Ararat High School boys soccer team shook off Oxford Hills, 5-1, in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference play on Friday.

The Eagles improved to 3- 2- 1 and visit Hampden Academy on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Mason Brigham gave Mt. Ararat a 1- 0 lead in the first half, but the Vikings tied the contest on a Spencer Strong goal 11:10 before intermission.

Dalton Streeter’s throw-in led to Scherry’s goal 9:10 into the second half, and Brigham’s second goal gave the Eagles a 3- 1 advantage.

Nick Merrill tallied off another Streeter throw-in, and Scherry completed the scoring with an unassisted goal.

Gavin Patterson had two saves for the win, while Oxford Hills goaltender Sam Martin turned away 12 shots.

FREEPORT 7

POLAND 0

Six players scored as the visiting Falcons rolled to a Western Maine Conference win over Poland on Friday.

Freeport improved to 4-3 and hosts Waynflete on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. The Knights fell to 0-7.

Gabe Wagner had two goals and an assist, while Eriksen Shea, Wes Goodwin, Evan McKittrick, Will Winter and Joe Ashby added a goal each. Jesse Bennell dished out three assists, with Goodwin, Owen Patrick and Caleb Barrett picking up one helper apiece.

Atticus Patrick turned away one shot for the shutout.

LISBON 0

HALL- DALE 2

The host Bulldogs handed the Greyhounds a second straight loss in Mountain Valley Conference action on Friday in Farmingdale.

Tyler Nadeau scored on a penalty kick midway through the second half to double Hall-Dale’s (5-1) lead.

The hosts opened the scoring 10 minutes in as Josh Nadeau finished a pass from Matt Albert.

Lisbon, 4-2-1 and slated to host Monmouth this upcoming

Saturday at 10:30 a.m., received 13 saves from netminder Jonah Sautter.

RICHMOND 4

Matt Rines had three goals to power the Bobcats to an East-West Conference road win on Saturday.

Richmond is 8-0 and slated to visit Sacopee Valley this upcoming Saturday at 4 p.m.

Rines staked the visitors to a 1-0 halftime lead, then added a pair of goals in the second frame. Dustin Simmons chipped in a goal.

Hunter Lowell had 12 saves for the Lakers (1-5).

MONMOUTH 6

Avery Pomerleau had four goals as the Mustangs ran off with an MVC win over Wiscasset on Saturday.

The Wolverines fell to 1-6 and visit Mt. Abram on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

Nate Camire and Cody Michaud added a goal each for Monmouth.

Girls soccer

POLAND — Freeport made it four straight WMC wins on Saturday, rolling to a 5-0 victory over Poland.

Abbi King led the Falcons (5-2) with a goal and an assist. Catriona Gould, Allie Goodman, Tia Peterson and Taylor Rinaldi added a goal each.

Carly Intraversato made five saves, while Poland (1-5) keeper Sydney Huson made 15 stops.

BRUNSWICK 2

Lea Scrapchansky and Isabella Banks scored a goal each to power the visiting Dragons (7-0) to a KVAC win over Hampden Academy on Saturday.

Sara Scrapchansky and Maeve Arthur assisted on a goal apiece, while netminder Beth Labbe was required to make just one save for the shutout.

The host Wolverines came from behind for an MVC win on Friday over the Roadrunners.

Mt. Abram jumped ahead on a goal by River Horn 7:30 into the game.

Grace Webber responded for Wiscasset eight minutes into the second half, collecting a pass from Vanessa Dunn before slipping a shot into the goal.

With 27:43 remaining, Maeve Blodgett scored on a penalty kick.

Wiscasset (5-2), which ended a two-game losing skid, received six saves from netminder Lindsey Gordon.

RICHMOND 0

RANGELEY 0

The Bobcats and Lakers finished in a scoreless deadlock in E-WC play on Saturday at Rangeley.

Sydney Underhill-Tilton had two saves for Richmond, 4-3-1 and slated to host North Yarmouth Academy on Friday at 4 p.m.

Rangeley (2-1-2) goaltender Sidney Boyd was busier, turning away 12 shots.

“We had good stretches, and we didn’t allow a quality scoring chance,” said Richmond coach Troy Kendrick.

Ashley Emery had a hat trick and chipped in an assist as the visiting Bulldogs (7-1) ran past Lisbon (4-3-1) on Friday in MVC action.

Sydney LeBlanc tallied a pair of goals for Madison.

Lisbon trailed 1-0 at the half, with Madison goaltender Lauren Hay making several solid saves to keep her team in the lead.

Lisbon’s Anna Willey turned away 15 shots, while Hay had six saves.

The Greyhounds visit Monmouth on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.

Ceceila Dietrich scored the go-ahead goal with less than one second remaining in the first half as the Vikings captured a KVAC win at Topsham on Friday.

Mt. Ararat (1-3-1) claimed a 1-0 lead on an Ema Hawkes goal off an assist from Ryley Leech at mid-point of the opening half.

Dietrich tied it on a free kick three minutes later, and put the Vikings ahead to stay.

In the second half, goals by Olivia Swift, assisted by Dietrich, and Caroline Burns, from Cassidy Dumont, completed the scoring.

Eagles keeper Zoe Stilphen had 19 saves, while Oxford Hills netminder Jillian Dumont turned away 15 shots.

Mt. Ararat hosts Hampden Academy on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

NEWCASTLE — Vanessa St. Pierre had a hat trick as Morse rolled to an 8-1 KVAC win over Lincoln Academy on Saturday.

The Shipbuilders improved to 5-2 and visits Lawrence on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Emelia Marsh had two goals in the win, while Lily Thibodeau, Madeline Skroski and Leah Totman chipped in a goal each for the Shipbuilders.

Taryn Crummett spoiled the shutout for Lincoln Academy.

Sydney Bouchard scored a pair of goals 33 seconds apart to lead the Wildcats (8- 1) to a WMC win over Freeport (5-2-1) at Hunter Road Fields on Saturday.

Falcons goaltender Katelyn Rouleau had six saves.

York outshot Freeport, 8-1, and held a 16-6 edge in penalty corners.

Freeport hosts Yarmouth on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.

HIRAM — Lucas Francis tossed four touchdown passes as Lisbon rolled to a 48-7 victory over Sacopee Valley on Saturday.

The Greyhounds are 4-0 heading into this upcoming Saturday’s home matchup with rival Dirigo at 1:30 p.m. The Hawks fell to 2-2.

Francis threw two TD passes to Robbie Dick, and one each to Henry Doyle and Ben Blake.

Isaiah Thompson and Bradley Harriman chipped in a rushing touchdown each for the ’Hounds, who led 42-7 at the half.
