Peter J. Koutsivitis
PORTLAND – Peter J. Koutsivitis, 77, passed peacefully with his family by his side due to complications of the flu on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, in Portland. Peter was born on Jan. 28, 1948, in Bridgton, he was the eldest son of the late Nicholas “Pierre” and Dorothy (Schaivi) Koutsivitis.
Peter spent most of his life in Portland, graduating from Portland High School and Pierre’s School of Beauty Culture. He was a dedicated worker for the City of Portland in the Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department for 45 years.
Peter was the proud father of autistic twin sons, Anthony and Nickolas.
He is survived by his sons; brother, Charles Koutsivitis and his wife Leslie Simonds; beloved dog, Lucy Mae; and his former wife and best friend, Cissy Forgione.
Services and burial will take place privately at St. Demetrios Hellenic Orthodox Cemetery, Biddeford.
