Bella McBrady singled up in the middle in the sixth inning to drive in Kylee Lebrun and lift Gorham to a 1-0 win over Westbrook in a softball game Monday in Gorham.

Lebrun singled off Westbrook pitcher Madison Ross to set up the winning hit in the fast-paced game. Both teams finished with four hits and neither committed an error.

McBrady was the winning pitcher, striking out three with no walks. Ross also struck out three while walking one.

Gorham is 5-0 and Westbrook is 2-2.

POLAND 13, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 3: Leski Langevin was 3 for 4 with two triples, drove in three runs and scored three times to lead the Knights (4-2) to a win over the Raiders (3-3) in Fryeburg.

Phoebe Paradis added two hits, four RBI and scored twice, while Julia Paradis had a double, scored three times and drove in one. Karlee Lothrop hit a double and pitched six innings to earn the win.

Hannah Murray and Presli Knapp each had two hits for Fryeburg.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 9, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 5: Emilia Michaud hit a two-run single during a four-run third inning and added a two-run inside-the-park homer in the sixth at Old Orchard Beach to help the Seagulls (3-0) hand North Yarmouth Academy (6-1) its first loss.

After Jordan Nash hit a two-run homer to center to give NYA a 2-0 lead in the first inning, the Panthers made it 3-0 in the third on Isabelle Hinkley’s run-scoring single. Old Orchard then scored four in the third on two-run singles by Michaud and Jordyn Methot.

After NYA pulled within 7-5 in the fifth, Old Orchard added two in the sixth.

KENNEBUNK 9, THORNTON ACADEMY 5: Kourtney Brask hit a three-run home run in the first inning to start the Rams (3-3) on their way to a win over the Trojans (1-3) in Kennebunk.

Chloe Rousselle pitched a complete game to earn the win, allowing five runs (three earned) on seven hits while striking out six and walking five.

Tessa Eng hit a three-run home run in the third inning for Thornton.

YORK 7, LAKE REGION 6: Piper Catanese had two hits with two RBI and three runs scored and the Wildcats (3-0) edged the Lakes (3-4) in Naples.

Catanese walked and scored on an error in the first, doubled in a run and scored on a passed ball in the fifth, and singled home a run and scored on a single by Maya Babcock in the sixth.

The Lakers rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh, all on a home run by Vylet Robbins. Haley Hamlin and Ava Cole each had two hits for Lake Region.

EDWARD LITTLE 7, GREELY 0: Chloe LeBlanc struck out 14 and pitched a three-hit shutout as the Red Eddies (5-1) earned their fourth straight victory, beating the Rangers (1-4) in Auburn.

Nellie Feeney had four hits, including a double and a triple, and drove in three runs for Edward Little. Lauren Bolduc collected three hits, while LeBlanc and Allie Michaud each added two hits. Jayda Clark had a single and two RBI.

Katie Wallace tripled and Sami Santerre doubled for Greely.

SOUTH PORTLAND 14, MARSHWOOD/BERWICK/TRAIP 7: Annie Soucy, Lucy Wetzel and Emma Anderson had four hits each in a 24-hit offense to lead the Red Riots (3-2) over Marshwood (2-3) in Eliot.

South Portland led 10-0 in the top of the third inning before the Hawks put together a four-run inning. The teams totaled 34 hits.

Zoe Carnes had two hits for Marshwood, including a double and a home run. Kianna Pasterczyk and Dot Ryan also had a pair of singles.

BONNY EAGLE 11, DEERING/PORTLAND 0: Lily Regan and Bella Hanson combined to pitch a no-hitter and contributed to an offensive onslaught for the Scots (3-2) in a five-inning road win over the Bulldogs (0-4) in Portland.

Regan pitched the first three innings, striking out six and walking one. She belted three hits, including a pair of doubles, and drove in a run. Hanson struck out five and walked one in two innings in the circle, and she hit a solo home run.

Nevaeh Hagerman homered, singled, scored twice and drove in four runs for Bonny Eagle. Leah Curtis finished with three hits, including two doubles, and drove in two runs, and Leah Storey doubled and scored twice.

SCARBOROUGH 10, MASSABESIC 2: Piper Floyd, Scarlett Floyd and Laine Niles all had two hits for the Red Storm, who scored six runs in the seventh to pull away from the Mustangs (3-3) in Standish.

Devenny Brickett led Massabesic with a triple and a single.

BASEBALL

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 10, POLAND 0: Alex Allain hit two home runs and drove in six runs to lead the Raiders (5-1) past the Knights (2-4) in a five-inning game in Fryeburg. 

Conner Keaten added three singles, while Noah Day and Richard Massey each doubled for Fryeburg.

Oliver Allocco pitched five innings and allowed four hits to earn the win.

SOUTH PORTLAND 10, WESTBROOK 0: Hudson Iacuessa pitched a no-hitter with 15 strikeouts and two walks, and also drove in three runs as the Red Riots (4-0) beat the Blue Blazes (0-3) in a five-inning game in South Portland.

Iacuessa hit a two-run double during an eight-run first inning for the Red Riots.

MT. ARARAT 5, SKOWHEGAN 3: Will Davis had two hits, including a double, drove in a run and scored a run as the Eagles (3-1) beat the River Hawks (2-4) in Skowhegan.

Daniel Beal and Brady Hiltz each added two hits for Mt. Ararat. 

Trevor Austin had three hits, including a double, scored twice and drove in one for Skowhegan. Trenton Austin added two hits. 

THORNTON ACADEMY 10, MARSHWOOD 2: The Trojans (2-1) scored seven times in the fifth inning in a win over the Hawks (0-4) in Saco.

Carter Moody had two doubles and Parker Bjorklund hit two singles for Thornton. Tyler Do, Blake Bolduc and Dominic Hussey each drove in two runs. Beck Edgerly pitched six innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on seven hits while striking out five and walking one.

Michael Sbrizza and Ethan Winchester each doubled for Marshwood.

FREEPORT 15, SACOPEE VALLEY 5: Bryson Jack and Sam Walker each had three hits and the Falcons (4-2) jumped to an early lead against the Hawks (4-2) in a five-inning game in Freeport.

Jack drove in four runs and scored three times, while Jacob Cass drove in two and scored three runs for Freeport, which scored five runs in the first and second innings. Liam Emmons hit doubles and scored three runs.

Walker struck out six, walked two and sailed through the first four innings before yielding five runs in the fifth, including a three-run home run to Silas Nielsen.

MARANACOOK 13, BOOTHBAY 2: Cam Jones hit a two-run double and had a sacrifice fly as the Black Bears (4-1) beat the Seagulls (1-4) in Readfield.

Caldre Glowa, Noah Longfellow and Carter Nelson each drove in two runs for Maranacook. Glowa, Nelson and Grady Hreben each had a double, and Nelson struck out six in two innings of relief.

EDWARD LITTLE 10, GREELY 4: Two prolific innings boosted the Red Eddies over the Rangers in Auburn.

The Red Eddies scored a run in the bottom of the first, then exploded for five in the second to take a 6-0 lead. They added four more in the fifth inning, capped by a two-run single by freshman Richie Norgren.

The win was the fourth straight for the Eddies (4-2), who have scored 10 or more runs in all four games.

Greely (4-1) was ranked third in the Varsity Maine poll.

Norgren led Edward Little’s offense with two hits and two RBI. Evan Scott, another freshman, also drove in two runs. Scott, Brooks Beaudry, Adam Meserve and Tallen Berry-Hart each scored twice. Starting pitcher Max Kimble earned the win, striking out six and scattering four hits over six innings on the mound.

Jarrett Bush (two RBI) and Ben Kyles (RBI) had two hits apiece for Greely, while Sylas Almy and Connor Skillin each doubled.

FALMOUTH 3, PORTLAND 2: Ryan Harder had three hits with two RBI and the Navigators (2-2) beat the Bulldogs (0-4) at Hadlock Field in Portland.

Harder hit two doubles and a single, Mason Pechinski stole three bases, and Milo Matson pitched a complete game, allowing no earned runs and three hits while striking out five and walking one.

SCARBOROUGH 3, BIDDEFORD 0: Ryan Shugars and Cam Dean combined to allow one hit and strike out 18 to lead the Red Storm (3-1) past the Tigers in Scarborough. 

Kam Duggan, Kaiden Carrell and Joe Donahue each drove in a run for Scarborough. 

Michael Elwell got the hit and Payton Blais had a solid outing on the mound for Biddeford, allowing three hits while striking out four.

KENNEBUNK 14, DEERING 4: Mason Alexander had three hits and drove in three runs to lead Kennebunk (3-1) in a road win over Deering (0-4) in Portland.

Alexander tripled, doubled and singled. Garrett Taschereau hit a three-run triple in a five-run fourth inning — one of two five-run rallies for Kennebunk. Brady Farrell (double) and Theodore Adams each finished with two hits, and David Tillotson hit a double for the Rams.

Anthony Profenno and Linden McAuliffe both had two hits for Deering.

GIRLS LACROSSE

KENNEBUNK 16, YARMOUTH 10: Julianna Urban scored four goals to lead the Rams (6-0) past the Clippers (2-2) in Yarmouth.

Camdyn Keenan added three goals and five assists, Anna McCarron added three goals and two assists, and Madeline Dowling had three goals and an assist for Kennebunk. Alexandra Foy added two goals and Ellie Nunan added a goal. 

Vivienne Corriveau scored four goals, while Celia Zinman had three goals and two assists for Yarmouth. Maya Nasveschuk and Karoline Thompson scored one each

GREELY 9, CONY 1: Tess Waterhouse scored three goals and MaKenna Seaver added two to lead Greely (4-2) past Cony (1-4) in Cumberland.

Abby Collins, Kacie Lord and Avery Bush also scored for the Rangers. Liv Clark made six saves.

Rylin Miller scored and Avery Maxim made six saves for the Rams.

MARANACOOK/WINTHROP 11, WELLS 7: Stella Stewart scored four goals and assisted on two as the Black Bears (5-0) defeated the Warriors (5-1) in Readfield.

Celia Bergdahl and Ingrid Stewart both added two goals.
