DALLAS, Texas – Dawn Ellen Baise, 60, passed away on May 17, 2026, after facing her illness with remarkable strength, courage, and determination.

Born on March 1, 1966, in Bath, Dawn spent most of her life in the state she loved dearly before later relocating to Texas. She carried her love for Maine with her wherever she went, especially its beautiful coastline and the ocean she cherished so much.

Dawn was known for her incredible strength, resilience, and selfless nature. Family and friends could always count on her for advice, encouragement, and support. A proud former business owner, she owned and operated Starlight Cafe from 2017 to 2020 before enjoying retirement.

She found joy in listening to music, searching the shoreline for seashells, and spending time with those she loved. Above all, Dawn treasured her role as a mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Nini,” were the light of her life, and she never missed an opportunity to spoil them.

She is survived by her daughters Natasha Baise and Breanna Baise; her grandchildren, Addison Mesimer and Wade Baise; her father, Stanley Wright; her sisters Donna Hays and husband Mike Hays, Debbie Dodge and husband Jacob Dodge, and Denise Durgan, and her brother, Danny Wright.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Moore-Wright, and her husband of many years, Golden “Gene” Baise Jr.

Dawn will be remembered for her strength, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.

In accordance with her wishes, direct cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
