Dana Wells Foss
AIKEN, S.C. – Dana Wells Foss, 67, of Aiken, S.C., passed away June 2, 2026.
Born Sept. 3, 1958, Dana was the son of the late David Wells Foss and Anne Patrice Foss, formerly of Cape Elizabeth.
Dana is survived by sisters Winnie Foss Smith of Newburyport, Mass., and Kimberley Foss Harvey of Carver, Mass.; children, Zuri (Michael) Gregory of Aiken, S.C., and Remy (Miranda) Waser-Foss of Washington D.C.; five nieces and nephews; and beloved grandchildren, Kaden and Rowan.
A talented chef, Dana possessed a lifelong passion for cooking and the way it brought people together. Those who knew him will remember his sharp mind, quick wit, and generous spirit. Dana found peace by the water, whether casting a fishing line or simply enjoying the beauty and stillness it offered. He was a man who loved deeply, worked hard, and never stopped striving to become the best version of himself.
A Celebration of Life will be held June 28, at 12 p.m. on Cobb Island, Md. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Dana’s life.
