We will have two clean-up days in April. The first will be on Saturday, April 2. The second will be on Saturday, April 30, and will also coincide with the Earth Day cleanup effort being spearheaded by the Willard Neighborhood Association, led by Theresa Wiper, also an SPDOG member.
Our clean-up days include Willard Beach, Bug Light Park, Hinckley Park and the Greenbelt. Please be sure to send to spdog@maine.rr.com a report of what you find when you clean up, so we can consistently present to the City Council the state of these parks and what we are doing to improve them.
We would like to do this as soon as possible next week after the clean-up day, to refresh the council’s knowledge of our efforts as spring approaches and the number of complaints about dog issues on the beach in particular tends to rise.
