What’s your favorite weekend getaway in Maine?

Melanie Whittemore, 27, and Gary Blair, 48, both of Raymond

“There’s a beautiful inn in Kennebunk overlooking the ocean on the beach called the Ocean View Bed & Breakfast Inn. We’ve never been there but it looks great. We’re planning on spending our honeymoon there.”

Kelly Cleaves, 40, Naples

I live on the lake in Naples so I’d rather visit the ocean. Probably Old Orchard Beach. I love Wells, too. Other than that, I’ve never really been anywhere else.”

Bridgton. I like the few small shops and particularly Noble House Bed & Breakfast. There are also some superior restaurants with a continental or American Nouvelle cuisine. We’re city people, we’re used to good restaurants.

Carolyn Messer, 50, Gray

I would like to go up to the Rangeley Lakes area and go kayaking, hiking and stay in a camp or cottage. Not in a tent. I’m past the tenting stage. It’s also not so touristy up there. That’s my idea of getting away.

Carl Plummer, 41, Raymond

Probably Bar Harbor. That’s like the Key West of Maine. It’s its own entity – something that feels totally different from the rest of Maine. You go down that road from Ellsworth and it feels like you’re in a different world.

Brittany Plummer, 14, Raymond

Old Orchard Beach, just because of all the people there. I like the beach and the nightlife and all the people walking around and stuff.
