Justin Osmond, from the popular American family of entertainers, will be a guest at the annual fund raising event “Look Who’s Cookin’.”

He will share his personal experiences as one of several deaf members of the family, and discuss specifically how oral deaf education and modern advances in technology have helped him learn to listen, talk, and to experience music.

The event benefits hear ME now!, Maine’s only oral deaf education center and nonprofit organization, based on the Pineland campus in New Gloucester. The fundraiser will be held at the Falmouth Country Club, Friday Sept. 12, at 6:30 p.m.

The second annual benefit event brings local celebrity “chefs” together as each chooses a personal favorite recipe and serves samples to the guests in a buffet style tasting party. Guests then buy and cast “votes” for their favorite recipe or chef. Awards are given to the chefs who receive the most votes in each food category and one overall winner will be bestowed with the much-coveted Golden Apron Award.

Admission to the fundraiser is $50. For more information about the Look Who’s Cookin’ fundraiser including ticket purchases, contact Donna Betts at 688-4544 or e-mail dbetts@hear-me-now.org.
