BOWDOIN — Dorene L. Cheney, 64, died May 15 at her home.

She was born in Waterville on Dec. 3, 1944, a daughter of George and Leola (Wyman) Dugheria.

After graduating from Winslow High School, she received nurse’s training. She worked for Waterville Osteopathic Hospital for several years and later at Mid Coast Hospital for 28 years.

Her interests included ceramics, bird watching and cats.

She is survived by her mother of Oakland; three children, Jim Howard and his wife Suzanne of Topsham, and Clyde Bailey of Topsham, Pam Yenco and her husband Joe of Bowdoin; a brother, George Dugheria of Oakland, two sisters, Marie Godin of New Jersey, and Aminta Moore of Florida; five grandchildren, Mark Padilla Jr., Parker Howard, Caitlin Bailey, Brooke Howard and Kurt Yenco; and one great-grandchild, Aubrey Padilla.

Memorial services were held earlier this week.

Arrangements are by Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick.
